Privacy Policy

Last Updated: February 27, 2026

Introduction

DMDeleter ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS application.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Discord Login Credentials: When you log into Discord through our app, your credentials are sent directly to Discord during the login process. We do not store, collect, or transmit your Discord password.
  • Discord Username: We store your Discord username locally on your device and on our servers for account management purposes.

Automatically Collected Information

  • Device Identifier: We generate and store a unique device identifier to manage your account, track usage quotas, and link your subscription.
  • Usage Counts: We track the number of messages you delete on our servers to enforce free tier limits (this does not include the content of the messages, only the count).
  • Activity Logs: Detailed information about messages you delete is stored locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.
  • Session Data: We collect session information including start/end times and total messages deleted per session for service operation.
  • Subscription Data: If you purchase DMDeleter Pro, we store App Store receipt data and transaction identifiers to validate and manage your purchase.

Information We Do NOT Collect

  • Your Discord password
  • Your Discord message content
  • Your location data
  • Your contacts
  • Any personal information beyond what's listed above

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect only to:

  • Provide and maintain our service
  • Enforce usage limits for free users
  • Process and validate your purchase through RevenueCat, Apple's App Store, and our backend
  • Display your username within the app
  • Store activity logs locally on your device
  • Provide customer support

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage: Activity logs and message data are stored locally on your device using iOS's secure storage mechanisms. This data never leaves your device.

Server Storage: We operate a backend service hosted on Cloudflare Workers that stores:

  • Your device identifier and Discord username
  • Usage counts (number of messages deleted, not the content)
  • Session metadata (start/end times, counts)
  • Purchase validation data

This data is stored in Cloudflare's D1 database infrastructure. We do not store the actual content of your Discord messages on our servers.

Data Security: All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption. Our backend is hosted on Cloudflare's secure infrastructure.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. The only data sharing that occurs is:

  • Our Backend (Cloudflare): Device identifier, Discord username, usage counts, and purchase data for service operation
  • RevenueCat: Anonymous subscription status information for premium feature access
  • Apple App Store: Payment processing and purchase management
  • Discord: When you log in, you authenticate directly with Discord

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access Your Data: All your data is stored locally on your device and accessible through the app
  • Delete Your Data: You can delete all app data at any time through the Settings tab
  • Export Your Data: You can export your activity logs before deletion
  • Cancel Your Purchase: Refund requests can be made through the App Store

Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
